I chose this oil jug from several others that were twice the price. I love that it's fairly plain (plate white, not super bright white) except for the ridges on the lid/cap that make it look a bit like a glass. Another detail that made me prefer it to others is that the lid is flat so I don't have to worry about knocking it over while getting the oil out. away so good. This morning I placed a packet of butter on the counter to soften it while waiting for the packet. I hand washed and dried with soapy water. Flattened oil is well put in the bell - a stick or half a glass. I can't leave softened butter on the counter because we live with a Very.Bad.Cat. who insists that every oil on the counter is his, and I don't like sharing my oil with a cat. Mine has a small hole on the outside of the lid. I'm not sure if this is accidental or intentional as I see that's how it's done in glaze firing. If I come across any issues or concerns I will update this review.
