We were looking for a second oil bell so we could make two bells at a time using our Costco Irish Kerry Butter Gold by Costco. Our first call is traditional French. but we decided to do something completely different on the second call. It works well and I prefer this cover better. It's easier to grip and won't hold water in the dishwasher. works just as well.

I love that thing. BUT. It's a bit messy when you try to load it. This requires 1 full packet of butter, but getting it in without touching the sides (rim) of the bowl is a little tricky. I found myself wiping oil from my lips quite often. It may just be my OCD, but that's the only problem I've had. BUT I still highly recommend it. Being able to have softened butter and not worry about it tasting stale after sitting on the counter for days is worth the greasy lip issues I experience. :)

I chose this oil jug from several others that were twice the price. I love that it's fairly plain (plate white, not super bright white) except for the ridges on the lid/cap that make it look a bit like a glass.
