Review on Alexa Enabled Navigation Announcements Streaming Compatible by Marcus Amillion

First of all this is a very new device so you have to understand that they try to make it better with every software version. I've been using it for two days and here are my first thoughts. Positives 1) It was very easy to install, set up and update 2) The device is nice, the ability to dim the lights is a great feature for the night 3) The app is well thought out and has many options including the ability to let you to let Choose which map app to use for directions. 4) In the two days I have, she has already updated her software once, which shows me that the company is actively improving it. 5) Talking and responding with Alexa is easy and I've had very few issues with it. The Alexa team doesn't care why she doesn't always translate correctly, I tell her. Improvements needed 1) Navigation and Contacts integration - I've repeatedly asked Alexa for directions to work, but she still hasn't been able to direct me to the right place. I also tried, "Alexa gave me directions home and she didn't get it either." Besides that, if I give the full address, she'll get it right eventually. But I need to be able to say the name or the name of the company and it will get me there. 2) SMS cannot be sent - functionality not available. 3) The call works fine but sometimes she doesn't get the right contact. 4) No Spotify integration - coming soon (known before purchase). So, in summary, the company is actively working on it and those who expect everything to be perfect are going to be disappointed at the moment. The main things I wanted in my car were directions, music, phone calls, and texting. All have issues in my case that make them almost unusable except "Alexa Play Station X on TuneIn". Although I'm not sure if I really need a virtual assistant. If they could get routes to work and the ability to text and read, that would be a 5 star rating. They solved the problem with Waze and didn't know my home and work address. This was caused by the Alexa app not having the correct addresses set in the Alexa app -> Settings -> Traffic. They also solved my clipping problem and will fix it in the next version. As with all new products, you'll need to work closely with the company to help them identify and work on bug fixes. So far their customer service has been top notch. This will get 5 stars once they add Spotify and fix the cut when using Waze for direction. It's a lot closer to making my phone completely hands-free in the car.
