It's so much fun and my 4 and 5 year olds love making things with water beads! I love that there are over 600 beads in 13 different colors - so many choices! There are also precious stones that are very beautiful. The bead pen isn't as easy to use as you might think and it kind of throws the beads away, so I don't mind that this set doesn't include a bead pen. From there, add your beads. When you're done, fill the small spray bottle included in the kit with water and spray your creation. Wait 10 minutes and flip your creation, then spray again and wait another 10 minutes. From now everything is ready! This set did not include a vegetable peeler, but a butter knife or fork works well. As you can see my kids also made the Daisy Tsum Tsum character - this Elena from Avalor was a bit of a challenge for my 4 year old.
