This is for a 55" TCL Roku TV (30 pounds). Once installed (in studs) it is quite durable. It can probably hold a much heavier TV, but I wouldn't recommend overestimating the ratings as it requires 2-3x more buffer for various reasons (horizontal position of the TV, moving/extending the TV, time, etc.). . Myself, but a helper might speed things up a bit. It would have needed a little more horizontal space to mount on the studs, but the fact that you can slide the TV from side to side on the mount made it really good, as did centering the TV. Just take your time leveling it (using a good level helps; the one that comes with it is fine). It allows you to adjust the level a bit after installation, but it's a lot easier to level during installation, and it just looks better - more professional (not that you actually see it). It's in the bedroom, so I set it up high and then tilted it down a bit for a better view. When fully retracted, the back of the TV is approximately 3 inches from the wall and the front is approximately 6 inches.
