Review on πŸ”§ Adaptable Assemblies by DRAGONITE Woodworking: Adjustable and Multifunctional by Tio Kotaki

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not Kreg, but good (for $.)

Pos. Does the job at half the price of the Kreg, precisely adjustable clamping force via screw thread. Neg - clamp faces are plastic not metal (why would it be any good if you clamp soft stuff?), hard to open with locking mechanism, mine came with large screws that don't keep the clamp faces tightened properly - I had to get the right cross nozzle find, and then fully tighten, which should have been done at the factory!. A general comment - if you're expecting a drawer clamp over 4" tall for pocket holes - it's best to have something available to hold the surfaces on the opposite side of that clamp together. Because of the position of the inner corner clamping surfaces, this opposite side is not held firmly together by this type of clamp.

Pros
  • Die-cast aluminum alloy clamp body, high hardness, no rust, strong and durable, suitable for heavy frames, storage tanks, etc.
Cons
  • Requires socket
