My nephew, like all children, never stands still and is constantly jumping and moving, so we bought them to keep his glasses on him all the time and that worked perfectly. Before glasses were left at school it certainly helped, and dinosaur figures made it easier for him to want to wear them. The material is strong and the strap is elastic, but not so much that it's easy to lose it. There were no protruding strands or breaks and it has been in constant use every day since the day I bought it. Great holder at a great price.
