My husband and I are not elegant people. When we got our double bed I forgot the screw in the middle and within the first week we rolled onto the middle of the bed. when the frame is bent. We went back to where we got the bed and got a new frame which I put together more carefully. We still found ourselves in the middle of the bed for a week or two. At this point it was too embarrassing to go back to the store and ask for another frame, so we ended up with a box spring and mattress on the floor, which I told myself I really liked. In the year or so we've been on the ground I bought two more beds, neither of which worked (one because I lost parts before putting it back together and the other because it made the bed so uncomfortable, that I took it off after one night). This frame is strong. We've been doing this for at least a month now and there's no sign of failure. It also doesn't slip on my hardwood floor like I thought it would. Also, I haven't hit my toe yet and no one in my house has complained about it - that was my main concern after reading the reviews. Yes, I agree that the legs are right on the corners, but I'm not sure what those other people who walk with their legs under the bed are doing.
