WOW! SUPERB - kitchen and dining room

First of all I'm beside myself with excitement! I've been waiting for a similar product for over a month, got frustrated and ended up canceling this order only to stumble across this gem. I didn't have high expectations for the delivery after my test with another product so this cast iron kettle arrived today with super super fast shipping (I ordered on Saturday May 22nd, expected it on Friday May 28th, but it arrived in just 2 days on Monday May 24th!). Although it is a bit small (I expected it to be small given its size, but it's very different when you actually hold it in your hands!), the item looks and feels exactly as described and meets my expectations the elegance factor. Heavy and doesn't appear to be coated on the inside. Full disclosure, I haven't used it yet, I'm just sooooo excited at how it looks and how quickly it arrived! One thing that was disappointing (not enough to take away even a tenth of the star rating) was the lack of instructions in English. It's ok, I'll ask my personal Japanese translator - Google! I'm just concerned about the cleaning instructions or if there are instructions on how to prepare for first use. I see a table that looks like it might hold a handful of salt or something, so I want to make sure first. Did I say I'm very happy with it? Well, I'm considering getting a smaller one. I would definitely buy it as a gift as the presentation is lovely too, it comes in a fabulous box with 2 canvas drawstring bags, one for the pot and one for the lid (optional but nice). I could try but I want to use it first and then come back here and let you all know!
