This rain and weather jacket is perfect for my dog. It's rainproof, at least in the areas the jacket covers, it has a nice warm lining to keep it warm on cold days, and I love the reflectives that keep it away from cars at night (especially since it's a black dog!) .- The jacket has two openings at the top (fig. 3), one for the leash and the other for the halter. There are three Velcro straps, one on the neck and two on the chest. So far they seem strong and durable as they don't come loose when I walk on them hard. There are two thin, long elastic bands that can be wrapped around the back legs to hold the jacket on the dog's back, but my dog doesn't like them and although I didn't use them, the jacket still seemed nice in place and stay in place. CHECK REVIEWS FOR SIZE! My dog is a large girl like a large lab size, but being skinny instead of bulky or fat, I still had to buy her the largest size to fit her, which I used to buy for her large. Make sure you read other reviews like me before you buy as the size will definitely be a lot larger than what you would normally buy for your dog.
