I received an LG 27GN800-B as a secondary monitor in addition to the LG 27GL83A-B that I used as my main monitor. It's a good monitor like the 83A with little motion blur when gaming and lots of features. However, when I compare them, I would say that the 83A monitor is slightly better: the 83A has a height-adjustable stand, the 800 doesn't. (No problem with VESA mounting.) - The 83A has an sRGB mode. - HDR support in 800 is completely broken. It tries to pretend to be a 1000 nit display and as a result everything looks blurry when HDR is enabled in Windows. The 83A isn't very good at HDR, but it looks a lot better than the 800. It's harder to adjust the brightness on the 800. Instead, a useless accessibility menu, and instead you have to go down three menu levels to get to brightness. (Why they didn't both insert in different directions is beyond me.) On the other hand: - The 800 has a black frame insertion mode when running >100Hz. - The audio output of the 800 is not discontinuous like that of the 83A which distorts anything above 6kHz. So if you don't care about the audio output, you would go for the LG 27GL83A-B instead.
