I've read reviews on here complaining about stuck and dead pixels and other picture oddities with this monitor and either I've been exceptionally lucky and they've been really unlucky, or it's just a great monitor that was delivered for got some people confused. - because the picture has been pristine and stunning in its clarity and contrast for the past 2+ months. I purchased this monitor after my old 24" Dell had a strange, intermittent power outlet problem that caused it to shut down when a…

Good monitor with a few flaws

I received an LG 27GN800-B as a secondary monitor in addition to the LG 27GL83A-B that I used as my main monitor. It's a good monitor like the 83A with little motion blur when gaming and lots of features. However, when I compare them, I would say that the 83A monitor is slightly better: the 83A has a height-adjustable stand, the 800 doesn't. (No problem with VESA mounting.) - The 83A has an sRGB mode. - HDR support in 800 is completely broken. It tries to pretend to be a 1000 nit display and as

Great monitor - my new review

Basically, I'm happy with the monitor. I don't feel like my IPS transmittance is that bad compared to other monitors I've had. For resolution and frame rate I use it. But my goodness, the anti-reflective coating is a maintenance nightmare. It is an absolute oil magnet. So if you try to scrape off a stain and hit it with your knuckle, you'll end up with another stain. DO NOT USE GLASS CLEANER OR 99% Isoalcohol. It leaves horrible residue (I wouldn't use any harsher product at all). It will rub…

A great option if you can find it at an affordable price.

No, it might not be the best model or the newest, but it's definitely a great buy-and-forget monitor option. I've had it for about 3 or 4 months so here are a few pros and cons. The benefits are basically exactly what the monitor advertises. This is pretty much your average IPS monitor with vivid colors, a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms latency. If you've been rocking 1080 and 60Hz for a while. Treat yourself, you can't go wrong with an upgrade like this and I promise you'll probably get over the…

Easily customizable and comes with all the features I needed.

I bought this monitor to replace a dying monitor, although it ended up being a significant upgrade over the old one. The 144Hz refresh rate makes finding the mouse pointer much easier, and I'm not limited to 60fps when gaming. Multiple inputs allow you to connect other devices (in addition to the PC, I connected a Nintendo Switch). This is the third LG screen I've bought and I have no reason not to. The only thing that worries me is a minor thing: the location of the button/protrusion/whatever…

    if you have money

This thing takes a beast, but if you've got the money and the power to drive it, it's definitely worth it. This is my first 1440p monitor and it's great, especially for reading text. It makes games look better, but if you're working from home or studying, this is a great monitor as it has so many pixels that you can easily share your screen. All in all I would buy more.

Decent monitor, poor side panel lighting

Not a bad monitor and I like to use it for different purposes. First time I have to turn the brightness down at night, but during the day it's decent. My biggest problem is light bleeding. It's edge-lit, so black screens and dark areas of games look pretty bad - almost like a flashlight beam falling from either side of the monitor. It's not critical, and I'd post pictures if I wasn't too lazy, but it's definitely noticeable. Another big problem is the random but rare vertical lines that appear…

Stunning 27” QHD monitor. It runs at 144Hz for gaming, has over 98% color accuracy (great colors) and super bright HDR. It is wonderful. No dead pixels and HDR enabled games are great! It also features G-SYNC to ensure smooth, shake-free performance in high-speed gaming. I love this monitor!

Good monitor, except for a few minor things.

For the price, this is probably one of the best 144Hz and gsync monitors you can get. Everything works fine for me, but there are a couple of little things that really annoy me, namely: - I can't adjust the monitor at all - very rarely does it turn off randomly. Then I have to disconnect and reconnect the power supply. In a month of owning the monitor this has only happened 3 times. HDR is literally a gimmick and I'm not advising anyone to turn it on; it makes videos/games worse. I have several

For the last 5-6 years I've been gaming on a 12" regular HD laptop and my office pc is a pair of 20" HP screens that I bought between 2009 and 2011 (so long I can't remember anymore). . I decided that moving to 4K was too expensive because I want a three-screen setup for both work and my home office. After a lot of research and reading reviews I decided to just get one of these and see how I like it. I usually choose HP for everything computer related but this time I chose this LG screen and I…

    True colors and display

I returned the Asus Tuff gaming monitor because the red color was off. I decided to give LG a try with this monitor and I'm glad I did. The colors correspond to reality, I didn't have any dead pixels. I do not recommend HDR on this monitor. I found the best setting was Game 1. I wish there wasn't a power adapter, but it seems to be a constant with these types of monitors. In general, I am very satisfied with all the settings and the picture. I wanted a good 1440 monitor and this one got it.

    Solid upgrade from 1080

A very good monitor for all your UHD 1440p needs. Are you using it in a dark room? Turn the brightness down and you're done, but for your own good, don't switch modes when seeing in the dark unless you want the power of the sun to hit your eyes. You're better off conserving that energy if you're struggling with true sun glare if your monitor is facing a window for some reason. *Update* The following is incorrect. There were no repair updates and the time it took to replace them was worth it. I had to use a TV as a backup but it was too much pain in my neck. The monitor finally came back 3 weeks after I sent it back. It's working fine again. But I don't trust him. The specs and price are perfect, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wants a reliable monitor. The specs and picture quality are fantastic, especially for the price of this monitor. The monitors interface is fast and intuitive, but if you have multiple video sources, the automatic source selection can be frustrating (can be turned off). A 32-inch monitor with the same features costs almost twice as much as this model, and I have to admit that this size is more suitable for gaming. I bought 2 of these because I previously had 2 LG Ultragear 1080 monitors and was very happy with them. I open them and find that these monitors do not have height adjustment. This might work for some, but on my desk my monitor needs to be higher. There's also no built-in cable management like the 1080, which is preferable since my desk is in an open space in my house and I'd rather not have cables dangling.
