This thing takes a beast, but if you've got the money and the power to drive it, it's definitely worth it. This is my first 1440p monitor and it's great, especially for reading text. I returned the Asus Tuff gaming monitor because the red color was off. I decided to give LG a try with this monitor and I'm glad I did. The colors correspond to reality, I didn't have any dead pixels. I do not recommend HDR on this monitor. I found the best setting was Game 1. I wish there wasn't a power adapter, but it seems to be a constant with these types of monitors. In general, I am very satisfied with all the settings and the picture. I wanted a good 1440 monitor and this one got it.

A very good monitor for all your UHD 1440p needs. Are you using it in a dark room? Turn the brightness down and you're done, but for your own good, don't switch modes when seeing in the dark unless you want the power of the sun to hit your eyes. It's a great looking monitor with a BIG downside: you can't adjust the height, swivel or rotate the monitor; only the smallest tilt angle can be adjusted. It was terribly uncomfortable until I bought a Vesa dual arm mount and now it's just fantastic.

The specs and picture quality are fantastic, especially for the price of this monitor. I bought 2 of these because I previously had 2 LG Ultragear 1080 monitors and was very happy with them. I open them and find that these monitors do not have height adjustment. This might work for some, but on my desk my monitor needs to be higher.
