This toy box is the best. First, the colors match so well and add some fun to the box. Second, the lid is designed so that the child can open and close it without flapping their fingers. When I bought it my great granddaughter was 11 months old and had no trouble opening or closing the lid. It has hinges that control lifting and closing for maximum security. It's big and holds a lot of items. My granddaughter is very happy with it and wants the bookshelf that goes with it. I've already bought it, but I'm saving it for Christmas. I am delighted that this was one of my best purchases for my precious great granddaughter.
