Anyone who has ever fallen into a harness without a seat belt will tell you the worst/most dangerous moment and it's not a real fall. I cannot stress enough the importance of having a rescue plan/seat belts. Many men/women have died/disabled due to lack of seat belts. The first thing you should do if you fall is to unbuckle your seat belts. The sooner you get rid of the load on your legs, the better. The most important thing is never to work alone without a plan of salvation. Even harnesses won't help if you're passing out or breaking your arms in something like a swing fall. I've used everything from utility ladders to the base loop and they are by far the easiest to use. You need to practice deploying and connecting. Unconsciousness can only last 5 minutes while tethered. It is also important to install them properly. DO NOT place them on the chest straps. They are designed to attach to the webbing where the chest straps cross with the leg straps. Read the included instructions, every set of weight belts is different so it's important to make sure you install them correctly. Also, they can only be used on full body harnesses. The straps come in easy-open zip bags so you don't have to worry about dirt getting on the velcro like other brands.
