This soft but tight wand-shaped massager came out of the box with a strong smell, the chemical smell you find in industrial glue. I didn't even want to play with it because of the smell, so I left it unused for almost a week before deciding to give it a try. The smell diminished, but unfortunately it was still there. I used it on my feet on a sick day and it really helped. The weight of the massager added some pressure which was really noticeable compared to my hands and my wife also felt they applied a little more pressure when I was applying it to her back which needs a constant massage. However, the smell has only diminished slightly in the weeks since I received it, so I don't know if this is for everyone.
