The case is well designed and made and sold at a competitive price. I hope it will serve me well when carrying pistols and ammo on the range. A few tips: 1. The case is sealed. When you receive it, the air pressure inside may be lower than the surrounding area, making the case difficult to open. Be sure to use the pressure release button to balance internal and external air pressure.2. When plucking the foam, pull the cubes down (into the body), do not pull them out of the body sideways or up. This results in a cleaner separation. Watch the demo on YouTube (the link is on the paper sheet that came with the product. 3. If you screw up the plucking process, you can buy replacement foam kits on the Lykus website. Quite expensive: $25 (including shipping) for an HC foam kit -4410, that's 40% of the price of the case! That's the only negative I can say about this product.
