jewelry saver! on Beading and Jewelry Making

Over the years my fingers have changed in size but my rings have not! This little gadget makes it easy to stretch your favorite ring that isn't as easy to put on as it used to be. Excellent purchase!

Pros
  • Decent Performance
Cons
  • Compatibility

Good price but questionable functionality

Heavy duty build tool. This might work with a thin ring/band but when I tried to increase my solid gold ring with it it split the ring instead of making it bigger. The cost of repairing a ring is now extremely high. If you value your ring, take it to a professional jeweler to have it enlarged.

Pros
  • Great build
Cons
  • weak

Nice strong product for jewelry making tools and supplies

so far it has worked great for stretching my silver ring. I just needed a bit of girth so I tapped a little and voila the ring fits perfectly. You'll need something to pull the piston out if the subframe doesn't help if you don't have a stick to measure the size of the rings. I found a metal tube handle that served the purpose. Too bad they didn't have anything suitable with them. Besides being easy to use

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • too boring

Use with care best jewelry sizes and settings

I was able to enlarge the ring a bit (18k gold) but despite the care and slow work, two of the four small strips that make up the ring are still cracked. The ring fits better and the torn bands are invisible yet reliable. However, if I had known, I would not have tried. I bought this item because a local jeweler (national chain) didn't want to work on it and now I know why.

  • holding my fists

Did the trick in jewelry making tools and supplies

It worked for the size of my sterling silver rings. 8 is too little and 9 is too much so it was perfect! I would not use it on expensive jewelry but would take it to a reputable jeweler to have it done properly. But for the price I recommend it! I prefer inexpensive silver, will have it handy! It's worth noting that if the ring doesn't fit flush, it will scratch the inside a bit. I didn't post a photo because there wasn't one. But the ring was thick enough not to spoil the design and cause…

It works! Size 8 to 9

My mother in law bought me a size 8 ring because she noticed I was losing weight but not that much, my fat finger is size 9. I want to offend her or me for my sausage fingers are ashamed so I bought these and carefully stuffed them. It was the perfect match. It's a little looser now because I've lost more weight, but I'm not complaining. I'm very glad it saved me from having to tell my mother-in-law that she bought the wrong size.

Pros
  • Pearl and jewelry making
Cons
  • Long delivery time

worked great on a solid copper ring

Needed to increase size from 8 to 8.5, my ring is solid copper. I drove slowly, checking regularly with a micrometer. If I had to go further, I'd probably recommend heating the copper with a blowtorch or leaving it in a very hot oven for a few hours to anneal (copper and gold harden as they stretch, reducing the likelihood of cracks increased). ) But for the price it works great. The nylon collar kept my workbench from getting dented while hammering. The only complaint is that there isn't…

Wrong packed!

This is a wonderful tool, very well made. Everything is made of steel except for the shock-absorbing white disc. Don't worry if you don't have a jeweler's hammer. Use the rubber mallet carefully. My main gripe with this is the way it's packaged. You slide the insertion rod all the way down at the top center instead of inserting it into the bottom of the wider end. What this does is stretch the top. I couldn't even fit a size 6 ring on the spool. I had to use pliers to crush the top hole and…
