It worked for the size of my sterling silver rings. 8 is too little and 9 is too much so it was perfect! I would not use it on expensive jewelry but would take it to a reputable jeweler to have it done properly. But for the price I recommend it! I prefer inexpensive silver, will have it handy! It's worth noting that if the ring doesn't fit flush, it will scratch the inside a bit. I didn't post a photo because there wasn't one. But the ring was thick enough not to spoil the design and cause discomfort on the finger.
