Review on ๐Ÿ’ Efficiently Resize Wedding Bands with the Rathburn Ring Stretcher: A Handy Jewelry Sizing Tool by Kim Sanchez

worked great on a solid copper ring

Needed to increase size from 8 to 8.5, my ring is solid copper. I drove slowly, checking regularly with a micrometer. If I had to go further, I'd probably recommend heating the copper with a blowtorch or leaving it in a very hot oven for a few hours to anneal (copper and gold harden as they stretch, reducing the likelihood of cracks increased). ) But for the price it works great. The nylon collar kept my workbench from getting dented while hammering. The only complaint is that there isn't really an "easy" way to get the wedge off the spreader that requires me to stick an allen wrench or other hard object into the back of the blade. Spreader and wedge loosening, slowing down frequent size checks. But it never really got stuck, and I could always unhook it with a few firm squeezes, check the size, and repeat. So for the price I can't complain.

Pros
  • Crafts and sewing
Cons
  • Some little things
