Good price so far so good. Too early to determine longevity. I also have metal, there is no difference in work yet. Easy to use once you know how. I had to practice just because I'm a beginner. It's nice to have enough for every spool of thread I use. Winding coils is pretty fun once you know how (beginner), but saves time when you have them ready. If the project requires a lot of yarn, wind up a few bobbins before you begin. Tip: Watch videos on winding and changing the bobbin and practice so you don't get frustrated with thread breaks and breaks later.
