I bought a penguin pillow for my penguin obsessed two year old. Came in a nice gift box. I immediately smelled the production smell. I took the cover off and the pillow smells the same so I tossed both in the washing machine and they were fine. Although I would say it's too thick for a two year old neck. Maybe I can take out some of the filler to smooth it out while it settles. The cover is good, a well hidden zipper, the kids fought about it. If I can figure out how to remove some of the filling that should be perfect. Be sure to wash it well before your child sees it.
