For my purposes this is a 3 star product. For most people this is a four star product which is why I give it that. The main reason for deducting the first star is that there is a notch at the top of the case where the hole is. When you place the tablet on the edge of the tablet where this notch is exposed. So your tablet is not 100% protected. Depending on how you transport your tablet, this may or may not matter. For me that is a problem. I would deduct the second star for not holding the tablet securely in the case. This is fine for everyday use, but in any situation where the case can be pushed around there is a real chance that the tablet will fall out. For example, if you simply toss the case into a briefcase where it can dangle freely, the tablet is likely to fall out. But if you're putting it in a laptop bag where it can't move, then your tablet should stay in there. Again, this is a problem for me. In the end, it probably deserves 3.5 stars, but I'll round up. because I think for most people this will satisfy their needs quite well. The above applies to the 2013 version of the Nexus 7 and applies to all other tablets with similar dimensions.
