Wow, this magnet is strong. I have used magnetic tripod mounts and my car for many years. I was one of the first users of magnetic mounts because the clip mount is very inconvenient to use. This is by far the strongest magnet I've used to attach a phone. For these magnetic mounts, I attach a magnet to the outside of the phone case. My old magnetic tripod mount broke so I replaced it with this one. He ripped my old magnet right off my suitcase. Before I attached my phone to this new mount, the magnet on my case showed no signs of coming loose, and yet the adhesive couldn't resist the mount's magnetic pull. Luckily, the magnets that come with this mount have an adhesive strong enough to withstand the magnetic pull of the mount. I haven't had any problems since installing one of the magnets that come with this mount. Tldr; Your phone will not fall off this mount.
