Review on Blue Yeti Pop Filter Eliminates by Heidi Reese

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good microphone filter.

One of the best pop filters for microphones (like the Blue Yeti). Don't buy foam coated or fluff coated filters, they are better. At around 6 inches, they feature a dual mesh screen with an easily adjustable gooseneck for positioning just in front of the microphone where you want it, and a simple clip for attachment. Basically anything you want to attach it to, even if it's not totally flat like a blue compass arrow. I will say that the clamp could be a bit better, especially bigger so it can work better, but it works. The rubber pad on the clip can wear out over time and easily scratch the arrow, but that doesn't bother me. What I didn't like, the harder you tighten it, the more it bounces off the arrow because the compass isn't quite flat, so you need to make it strong and secure but not over tighten. The problem occurs when you adjust the gooseneck and you can see the clamp loosens and loosens every time so you may have to change it from time to time to reconfigure or risk a crash, which probably won't harm it in any way. Definitely a worthwhile product and should make your voice clearer if that's important to you. Of course, you don't need any of these things just to use your Blue Yeti or other proprietary microphone.

Cons
  • Lots of stuff
