Review on Beach Extended Height 4 Position Folding by Kevin Hawkins

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice chair, but the frame is not entirely aluminum.

Sending it back almost immediately when I saw there was no hip bar under the seat. These aluminum chairs fall apart quickly. But it was heavier than it should be, so I got out the magnet. The part of the frame where the seat is sewn is made of painted steel. The posts have steel tubes inserted into aluminum tubes. A very clever idea. I think this will continue. All connectors are made of coated steel. So there will be a few rust issues, but the main parts of the frame that actually make contact with the beach sand are aluminum. I hate very low sunbeds so I really appreciate the extra height of these. I use a seat cushion since 2 inches of my butt is dangling from the back of the seat belt. (Gripper Non Slip Chair Cushion 15" x 16" Venus Natural, Walmart for $8.97). The seat belts had to be moved back slightly in the frame to eliminate excessive slack. As others have pointed out, a pillow is needed. photos are deceiving. This seat is a lot bigger than I thought it would be and only a few of them fit in the trunk of my SUV. Easy to carry once you get the shoulder strap out. Overall, this was the best combination of compromises for me. There are chairs that I liked much better, but they are all made of steel.
