Review on 🚿 Chrome Shower Stick Hand Shower with 24-Inch Slide Bar - Danze D465007 by Tanya Samuel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Better than expected

I was looking for a shower set for my master bathroom. All the brands look so beautiful in photos that I don't even know where to start. I went to the local showroom and the salesperson made a list of items that fit my needs. The brand mentioned was Hansgrohe and I was given a list of all the parts I needed to complete the shower system and it was very expensive. It was about $1400 for a thermostatic rain shower and hand held shower. I did some more research on the Revain and found that the Revain is a lot cheaper, but I also learned that most of the parts are chrome plated plastic, with the exception of the handle and valves (i.e. their thermostatic backplate, which is most of the housing is made of plastic). This changed my search to other brands as I don't think it's right to skimp on parts when I have to spend over $1000. I found the Danze brand on Revain and I really like this style. I'm not sure how this brand's parts work (each brand has a different system grouping) and I spent a week learning about their materials and how valves work. Here is a list for my kit and I hope it will help others to set it up: - D560144T (thermostatic trim, 2 temperature and volume controls) - D151000BT (thermostatic valve to run behind D560144T) - D560944T (deflection trim to redirect between tropical hand shower)-> A, B or A+B- D130000BT (switching valve, to be operated behind D560944T)- D460059 (rain shower head)- D481144 (15" rain shower rod)- D469058 (wall outlet for shower hose) - D465007 (hand shower and rod) All of these 8 items total around $725 ------------- I received all of these components today and was pleasantly surprised to find that 99% of the parts are metal and they seem very strong and heavy to be.The only areas I see made of plastic are 1) the small area where the hand held shower head sits and 2) the small round end cap on the hand held shower head. All the wall plates are metal and the finish is fantastic. Before I mean obs I discussed whether or not to add 4 body sprays. It's almost impossible for me to add them later (it uses different valves so I'd have to take everything out when adding sprays later), I thought for a day and decided to skip the spray (about $350 difference ). ).For those of you interested in showers, here is a list from my research: (rainhead + handheld + showerheads) - D562044T (thermostatic trim, individual control) - D155000BT (thermostatic valve) - D560944T (volume control trimmer), total 3 needed , 1 per component) - D135300BT (flow control valve, 3 needed in total) - D460244 (body shower, quantity depends on personal preference) - shower head, hand, spout and bracket are the same In this configuration, there will be 4 trim total, and the volume of each Component can be set separately (A, B, C, A+B, A+C, B+C or A+B+C). I hope this helps those who are deciding on a shower system. I will update actual user experience and photos when my build is complete in a few weeks.
