Let me start by dying my hair crazy colors since I was young. I'm over 30 now. I've done everything, tried everything. Now I ONLY use Pravana. Durability can't be beat. Example: The first photo is about an hour after dyeing the hair. The second photo is just with my lips after 3 weeks. Third photo 3 months later. If it wasn't for the roots I wouldn't even do it again. I dye my hair every 3 weeks and bleach it every 3 months. When I left for more than 3 weeks it looked faded and terrible. Now I do it 3 times a year. And my hair NEVER looks faded. It's a wonderful color to be honest and I'm sad that I've spent years with brands like Arctic Fox. Beautiful colors, terrible staying power. I also match my colors to get more bang for your buck. do you want pink Instead of buying purple, I buy Wild Orchid and dilute it with 50% conditioner to lighten the color. If I want a lighter pink, I add more or buy magenta and dilute it that way. Also, I always leave the color on for an hour. You can go even longer if you wish. The other two photos show the red colors of Pravana. The one with my hand in front of my face is just her red. Nothing added, nothing diluted. Well I wanted a blood red rather than a fire engine so I added some blue to get what you see in the final image. With my daughter's hair, I'm really experimenting with colors, mixing and thinning to see what I can do. IMPORTANT! PRAVANA DOES NOT WORK ON VIRGIN HAIR! Your hair needs to be chemically treated. So if your roots have never discolored, this will not go away. Literally the only time I've ever heard of this negative was from someone who didn't know: natural blood tries to stain the tips pink. I've just placed another order and this time I'm thinking I'd like pastel pink. If I can lift this hot pink enough I'm sure it will look amazing. Maybe update with pictures in the future.
