I use them for guitar practice. I used to have cheaper over-ear headphones. I also compared the sound to a friend's $79 Status Audio CB-1 headphones, which I liked. The sound is excellent with good mids (great for guitar). They do take some practice due to the shape (this is my first pair of this kind) but don't sting the ears like in-ear headphones. The cable isn't very long, but I don't think they were made for an amp. I added an extension. If you have trouble with earplugs hurting your ears, this is a quality alternative. I don't think there are headphones with the same sound quality in this price range.
