Review on Samsung 860 EVO MZ-76E500E 500 GB Solid State Drive by Francis Vasquez

The box was delivered marked not for retail sale. If there is a problem with the product and Samsung doesn't offer the same warranty on it as the consumer drive, I would expect Revain to honor the warranty since I bought the consumer drive but received the manufacturer version. The drive verifies itself as a genuine Samsung 860 EVO in Samsung software, so I have no reason to believe it's fake. The drive itself gets 5 stars for quality and price. Samsung SATA SSDs are the industry standard. However, if you are selling discs from the manufacturer for non-retail sale, the price should be discounted, not inflated. I was unhappy paying the $10 surcharge thinking I was getting a consumer drive with a consumer warranty. I am very unhappy paying a $10 premium for something that should have been discounted $10 from the current price. Again, to be clear, unless Samsung offers the 5-year limited warranty that comes with the 860 EVO for consumer sale. Disk, I expect Revain to honor this guarantee.
