I bought this camera for my freshman year and it is one of the best cameras I have ever owned. I had to have it and it seemed like the best brand I was constantly pointed to was the good old Pentax K-1000. I've searched the internet for a few of them but I couldn't find any that were in stock or that cheap. I had no intention of shopping on Craig's List, my professor strongly advised against it, and I have never used the site. I was uncomfortable looking at the ads because I didn't know the buyer. Love how it was from a pro shop and how they replaced a few things to make it work. I still have it as a reminder of a great class and I love its unique vintage character. i love quality This is one of the most powerful cameras I've worked with to date. Easy to use and a simple start on your journey to more DSLRs or DSLRs. All parts still click and I haven't had any problems with any of the functions. I also love shutter sounds, nothing makes me happier than the sound of a shutter with every shot. I like the way gears, sprockets and mechanical parts work. It was missing a few things, but that's something to keep in mind when buying a vintage model. Things get lost over time, but as long as the case works, you'll have a good camera for years.
