Review on Enhanced Landscape Lighting: Moonrays SRRB Replacement for a Paradisiacal Ambiance by Alexander Scharon

LED bulbs use MUCH less power than traditional halogen landscape lighting. These T5 LED bulbs are well made and a direct replacement for the T5 low voltage 12 volt halogen bulbs commonly used in Malibu landscape lighting. There was also a lower wattage T5 bulb option but I went with these to give me MORE lumens so they were as bright as my original 18w 12v T5 halogen bulbs. These 2.5W T5 LED bulbs have the same warm spectral color as my original halogen bulbs, but consume less than 15% electricity. The low voltage wiring in my backyard runs quite a distance from my transformer, so at 2.5 watts I have a dozen landscape lights that show no lighting problems with these LEDs. In addition, these T5 LED bulbs do NOT flicker and the process of removing the old halogen bulb and replacing it with a new LED bulb literally took five minutes. Because the LEDs are housed in a weatherproof, transparent "bulb" housing, you don't have to worry about the elements in closed but damp landscape lights. You also won't ruin the LED bulbs by touching them during installation (compared to the original halogen bulbs which required me to wear gloves to prevent oil on my fingertips causing the halogen bulb to fail prematurely) . I've been running it for months now with no problems. If anything changes during the winter season or next summer I will definitely update this review.
