Review on πͺ Earth Worth Straight Draw Shave Tool 8 Inch - 1946 Black Model 83-DT5223 by Ann Thompson
The handles are not in the same plane and paint over the surface of the blade.
1. Painting the blade area. I had to remove the paint and sharpen the blade2. I placed this tool on a flat surface and found that the end of the right end of the wooden handle was 1 inch above the surface while the end of the left wooden handle was properly touching the flat surface. In other words, the instrument to which the handles are attached is not curved straight. This appears to be a quality control issue on the part of the manufacturer. This defective block came to this consumer. I wonder how many other units ship from the factory.
