I got this for a log bridge project at my camp. Arrived blunt as expected, I quickly sharpened it with a 40mm angle grinder flap disc and it was enough to straighten a few logs. It worked exactly as I had hoped. The metal is quite thick and durable. I also like the grips, good grip and angles. Beautiful design. Required sharpening upon delivery to create a smooth log surface. Poor sharpening due to soft metal. Works well after sharpening, just needs frequent sharpening. Good value for money. Many Thanks.

Looks like a lot of +/- on the blade, I found it dulled but still saw the serrated cherry easily, I sharpened the blade and she could take deeper puffs. It took me 5 minutes to sharpen the blade. For the price it was a great investment to learn how to use. Save your money on the more expensive one and try it first.

It's not sharpened but I bought it to use as a skinning knife so I didn't care. I sanded the edges to make the corners straight and its thickness and grip angle make it ideal for skinning.
