I've used this at the beach & at the lake. I used it for my little dog's crate, to keep them shaded while I got in the water. It held up in very windy - 20mph winds - anchored with other things to hold it down, though. The stakes it comes with will be fine if it is not too windy.Shade is good, it's lightweight & takes up little space for traveling. It's flexible to fold back down - just keep twist/folding it to get back into flat circle.
