I'm very fair skinned and had some beach vacations planned. Decided to try this tent to offer some extra sun protection. It pops up as soon as you take it out of the bag and start to open it. Used the 6 included stakes to add stability and keep the front area extended. It worked great! The wind picked up a lot in the afternoon and the tent was leaning but stayed upright. This tent is super lightweight and pops open in seconds. The size is good; I fit comfortably with my baby and think it will provide her good sun coverage for several years. It was a lot easier to fold back up than previous reviewers had made it seem. Didn't take more than 2 minutes to figure out and it easily fits back into the carrying bag. I purchased this for a trip to the beach, and I would definitely recommend it to others. It popped right up, but not so quickly that it hit anyone (important with a babe around). The sand pockets in the sides are large enough to get plenty of weight in them so the tent did not budge on a windy day. The tent is definitely a great item to bring with you to the beach or some other place if you need to pack lightly. We brought it with us to Hawaii and it fit perfectly in a suitcase and was easy to bring back and forth with us from the hotel to the beach. Very happy with my purchase. Bought this to give my 6 month old some cover while at the beach. It assembles in 10 seconds and the sand pockets and stakes made it stand up pretty well in mild wind. I received the tent and decided to open it before taking it to the beach. It popped up just fine with no kinks. However when I looked inside there was what seemed like red marker in multiple places that was poorly washed off? Pictures included. While this is a great way to get shade at the beach or park, it also works as an easy to set up tent in the living room when my grandchildren stay the night. A full size blowup mattress fits perfectly in it and there is plenty of ventilation. I've used this at the beach & at the lake. I used it for my little dog's crate, to keep them shaded while I got in the water. It held up in very windy - 20mph winds - anchored with other things to hold it down, though. The stakes it comes with will be fine if it is not too windy.Shade is good, it's lightweight & takes up little space for traveling. It's flexible to fold back down - just keep twist/folding it to get back into flat circle.

The tent works well at the beach and was easy to travel with. Does not fit in a carry-on but I just brought it with me on the plane and stored it in the overhead bin with no issue. Very easy to set up but took 3 people to fold it and get it back in the bag. Would be great if you had small kids at the beach who would need a break from the sun from time to time.
