I tried several circular knives before finding one that worked. It was the worst. I didn't manage to put it together! Directions are very poor without a single illustration. I couldn't assemble the center cylinder, let alone turn the lever. The blades are a nightmare: they are very dangerous to handle and fall out of their little plastic holders. There is no safety cap to hold onto when inserting. It comes with a nice mat, but I found that this type of mat doesn't do well for cutting sharp circles - you need a glass mat. The small plastic handle on the hand is very cheap and difficult to hold. And the worst thing is that it's made of horrible hard plastic that can only be opened with a knife. I returned it. For wheels 4" and larger, I recommend the Martha Stewart LARGE Circle Cutter. It has much safer blades, clear instructions, and disappointment-proof packaging!
