Nice addition for older eyes

Overall it's a big help. Being up there in years it makes reading enjoyable again. It's a good size, depending on what your reading, so using it vertically or horizontally are fine. Lighting is a plus.

Pros
  • Perfect for senior citizens who struggle with reading fine print
Cons
  • The product may not be compatible with all types of lighting

Great for Grandma!: my feedback

My grandma likes to read, but had not been able to do so for a while! Most books come in small letters and she is not able read. This was a great gift for her! It even comes with a small string that lets it hang from your neck so you can turn pages without having to hold it!

Pros
  • A great tool for visually impaired individuals, including those with macular degeneration, cataracts, and glaucoma
Cons
  • The product may be too expensive to replace if lost or damaged

Not for very impaired vision

Unfortunately this idea is a little weak for more impaired vision people .Sure it works fine in certain applications as describedI would not tell you not to get this item .

Pros
  • JUOIFIPG
Cons
  • The product may not be compatible with all reading materials

The plastic material was very weak

We were disappointed after we received the product because the plastic material that surrounded the magnifier was made poorly.

Pros
  • Helps to reduce eye strain, headaches, and fatigue
Cons
  • The product may require frequent cleaning or maintenance

Good for the price on my review.

It is good for the amount money. Otherwise, it collapses easily and has to be placed just right or it creates a weird swirl effect and you cannot read all the text. I’ve used it on textbooks so these may be large than the anticipated use.

Pros
  • Provides hands-free magnification for seniors with vision loss
Cons
  • The product may not offer enough magnification for detailed work

Handy as long as it can sit flat.

Works very well except that when I place it above a book or my laptop, it has to be flat. It’s a bit too low if I’m sitting in my desk chair.

Pros
  • it does the job just wish it came in a lefthanded model
Cons
  • The product's folding mechanism is prone to breaking

Very handy, easy to use & compact.

Bought for a family member who cannot walk now after an accident. Hoping it will keep him in touch with events outside his home while he is disabled.

Pros
  • Doesn’t works as well as expected!
Cons
  • I was very disappointed in this product. Poorly made, flimsy

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It was not as clear as I expected for my use.

I tried to use this to better see the marks I was making in a book that I was book folding. The legs were not quite high enough for my purposes. If you want it to read a pattern or book it would be great. Just didn't meet my needs this time.

Pros
  • No need to strain the eyes or change positions when using the magnifier
Cons
  • The product may not be suitable for people with sensitive skin

works great for my opinion

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • The magnifying glass is too heavy for some seniors

Great assistant to help read

Takes batteries for the light. Switch is small, but really not a problem. Very good magnification. Easy to hold. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Designed with seniors in mind, it provides a practical and effective solution to their reading and hobby needs
Cons
  • The product may be too specialized to have broad appeal

Great Help For Eyes With Macular Degeneration

My 91 year mother can now see what is of greatest interest to her, the receiving of hand written greetings and holiday cards.

Pros
  • Magnifying Tools
Cons
  • The product may require frequent battery replacement

My wife loves it.: my feedback

Great for my wife, who has a vision problem. The hands-free height feature comes in very handy. Finding where the batteries go took a while. The battery holder is located where the lens legs are stored. The lens is not glass but does the job.

Pros
  • Can be used for reading books, magazines, and newspapers
Cons
  • The product may not be suitable for people with allergies

Disliked that it picks up glare and not easy to focus and the power cable is worthless after 2 months of use The product may be too expensive compared to similar items!

Pros
  • Convenient for reading small text or examining objects
Cons
  • The product may be too expensive compared to similar items

Good magnifier! for my opinion

I ordered this product for my elderly mother. The product arrived quickly and did the trick. You can magnify one page at a time for larger books and two pages at a time for smaller books. The magnifier has a light and has four legs that can be used for table top reading. It is a little cumbersome for reading in bed it on the couch. Overall, I’d recommend it.

Pros
  • It would be a lot better if it was glass and of course it would cost more but it would be worth it.
Cons
  • Some seniors may prefer a larger magnifying glass for clarity

Nice big magnifying reader!

Only complaint I have is no USB power cord comes with the product- just be aware. Other than that I love it 🥰 The product may not be waterproof or humidity-resistant!

Pros
  • Accessories, Hardware & Tools
Cons
  • The product may not be waterproof or humidity-resistant

Easy to use, better than expexted!

Magnifying glass works great! Easy to use. I like to read something during the lengthy process of getting my hair colored and highlighted. It's difficult to put my glasses on because of foils and color on my head. This worked great! I just put the cord around my neck and it rested comfortably on my midriff and I could read without squinting or any blurriness. You can just as easy use the legs to support it, too. The lights are there if you need them. I am very pleased with its performance…

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • The product may be easily lost

Helping Dad Read on my review.

Bought for father-in-law who is 92. His vision is declining and even with the aid of glasses he has trouble seeing print. It does help him but he says it is hard to hold and use. This may just be him. We have shown him how to use the neck cord in his recliner and read hands free which he likes. He says the magnification swirls are distracting. He loves that it has the lights and we think with some practice it will become a tool he really appreciates.

Pros
  • LED light can be turned on and off as needed
Cons
  • The product may not be powerful enough for some users

Specialized USB cord

I love everything about the magnifier except for the fact that it comes with a non-standard USB cord. I did not need another connector type. I wish it used any one of the already to many existing standard USB connections on the magnifier itself. But no, some engineer decided that we needed another connector type just for this product. Otherwise, I would call it the best for the money. It is made out of plastic. I'll probably just use batteries and I do appreciate the two light levels.

Pros
  • Provides clear and accurate magnification, which enables a more extended reading time
Cons
  • Some users may prefer a higher magnification for detailed work

Usable but not great

Power cable has standard USB-A connector on one end but round connetor on other, so if you lose it you can't replace it with a standard cable. Fresnel lens has some distortion. Using it with fold-down legs on a flat surface requires putting your head directly over the device and looking down, which isn't comfortable. OK for hand-held use for short periods. LED lights seem reasonably bright using disposable AAA batteries. Not awful but not really recommended.

Pros
  • Compact design makes it ideal for travel
Cons
  • The product may be too bulky to use comfortably

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good magnification but hard to hold for any length of time.

The magnification was fine, but holding the magnifier for any length of time while reading a book for 30 min. or more was taxing. Haven't tried the light feature yet, so cannot comment on its ability to aid in reading.

Pros
  • Doesn't require holding like a traditional magnifying glass, so there's less strain on the hands
Cons
  • The product may not be suitable for people with arthritis or limited mobility
