Review on U Turn Audio Turntable Built Preamp by Dino Burks

As a newcomer to the world of vinyl records and turntables, I studied several models before ending up in reverse orbit. Not only did I want something that would be inviting to sit in my living room when not in use, I was looking for a device that would produce quality sound and last for years - oh, and without spending a fortune! U-Turn offers all of these aspects. My item arrived quickly in the original packaging which was secure and prevented damage in transit. Setup was easy and matched my Kano Yu2 speakers perfectly. What drew me to U-Turn was its mechanical simplicity; It seems that in the future repairs will be easy (if necessary). Plus, the devices are made in the USA in Boston, Massachusetts, another bonus! The device makes a very durable and high-quality impression. As for the sound: now I've switched to vinyl! The sound is rich and dynamic, unlike most MP3s streamed from my computer or phone. There's also something far more interactive about putting a record on and listening to it from start to finish, as the artist intended. The only negative I can think of is that I have to get up and turn off the machine when the recording is over or the record will keep spinning with the needle in the drain track, which I accidentally did earlier after doing it during an audition had fallen asleep. to the music - it didn't hurt, but I don't think it's a good habit. All in all I think this is a great unit for the vinyl novice or seasoned audiophile and definitely one of my favorite purchases!
