I've tried several projectors under $200 and this is the best so far! Cons: Image quality is only 1080p, but the projector projects a huge image (so big I had to use the image resize feature to fit my screen). I watch a lot of foreign movies with subtitles and you can see a lot of noticeable pixelation around the edges of text, especially when the frame size is much larger than a typical 1080p device. That's my pet peeve, but the overall home theater experience outweighs it for me. There is only one HDMI and one VGA port. I only use HDMI. If you want to switch between multiple HDMI devices, it can be annoying trying to mount this projector on the ceiling. You'll have to get a long HDMI cable with a separate hub to switch inputs, or switch them manually each time. There are also two USB ports, which I almost never use. fans. This projector has fans. They're a lot quieter than other projectors I've used, but if fan noise bothers you, you probably don't want to sit very close to the projector. I think that's the biggest problem for any projector. I can sit just a few feet from the projector and turn up the volume to make it work for me. The mounting options for this projector are more limited. It has a screw. Advantages: - The price corresponds to the quality. - Image size is huge. Easily fills an entire wall or large screen. The sound is good enough. The projector sounds loud enough that I didn't feel the need to use another sound system. Only certain loud noises caused the sound to hum. Overall, I was impressed with the sound quality. - Brightness. Image quality is good. I had to tweak the settings to get the best color. Many inexpensive projectors can have washed out gray tones. After adjusting the settings, the colors are much brighter than similarly priced projectors in my opinion. I can even watch TV shows during the day with the blinds closed and the color doesn't look terrible, just a little greyish. The size. This device is a little smaller than your standard high-end projector, but it's still quite large. It's not one of those pico micro projectors that you can find for a similar price. It works way better than those tiny projectors. Conclusion: I love this projector. I think it's comparable to my 55 inch smart tv. While the image isn't always very bright or 4k (depending on your lighting), it makes for a huge movie-like experience. It can be moved easily. So if you like to travel, this small projector is ideal to take with you. I installed a screen that draped over my window so the projector didn't take up space unless it was in use. It's much nicer than a TV that takes up space on the table.
