UPDATED: Okay, a few things immediately caught my eye. There was a weird transparent layer that didn't dry and drip evenly. However, I took one and stuck it in my vise to see how easy it would be to file down a problematic resting position on the bike. The plating seemed to hold up decently with a file, and it also felt like a hard material that shows promise. I was able to record it and it took about an hour. After installing one, I noticed that the gloves I was wearing transfer grease or dirt to what appears to be an uncured clear coat over the anodized blue finish. Secondly, after installation, I noticed that they are not at a 90 degree angle to the frame, see photo. Unless that's part of their design, do they need to be shaved off where they meet the frame to minimize damage and make it easier to fold when you park the bike, or maybe to keep your legs straight? Who knows? Made from T6 7570 aluminum which is weaker than T7 7570 but probably not by much. I just bought these to replace my bent OEMs and thought they looked pretty cool. They are wider than standard but just as long. See photos. I wasn't sure how I would feel if they got wider. Third, the spikes are tight, so that's a definite plus. The overall impression is not bad, but the viewing angle does not allow five stars. I'll have to buy a grinder or bench grinder to fix this. After that, it costs me about the same or more than the standard or upgraded footpegs. In a previous review I saw them break after being hit at 10mph. I see a need for another set in the future.
