Review on 🚲 Topeak BabySeat Child Bike Seat with Aluminum Rack: Enhanced Disc Mount Version by Jamie Simpson

I got it about a week ago and last night I finally worked up the courage to install it (it was quite intimidating for someone who doesn't know much about tools)! I don't have disc brakes but the disc mount version will work with any type and the price is the same. After two hours and a trip to the hardware store, I think the seat is as secure as it gets (it feels rock solid, very secure and very secure). One thing that bothered me was that the box didn't come with the required Allen key (luckily my nearest shop mate had one). The instructions for me could have been a bit more helpful, but I finally (I think!) got it right. (Another thing that worries me is that I don't know why it says you need a screwdriver! I've never used one. It seems fine, but I'll definitely have one in mine check my local bike shop before I use it.) The reason I went to the hardware store was that the two longer bolts needed for part of the seat weren't long enough (they were M5 x L25. I used M5 x Bought L30 and they were perfect). We haven't tried the seat yet, but it looks very comfortable and secure. Once the initial installation is complete, everything looks fine. (My local bike shop said they would install for $25, but I decided to try it myself.) Overall, it seems like a great product - I'll update if I run into any issues after our ride today, but mine Son seemed to like it during our testing and it looked snug as a bug there. 4 stars only because of the installation issues mentioned above. **UPDATE** I've been using it for about a week and me and my son love it. I haven't had any problems so far and I'm glad I finally decided on this one after (long) deliberation about the type and brand of bike seat. The seat is of excellent quality, my son sits very comfortably and I can use it very easily. Definitely recommend.
