Long suffered with the choice of size after reading the reviews. My 10 year old son is thin and average height. Based on the reviews we got 14. That's good for us. The waist is big but he wears himself skinny so that wasn't a surprise. 14 wasn't too big to work for him, but he wasn't complaining. The length was slightly longer. The foot would hit the sole of the boot squarely if we pulled the shoulder straps up quite high. It grows like a weed so I guess it's okay. I assume they will last us at least a year. She says they are very soft and comfortable. He uses them when working in our garden. I would buy again. Summary:
