We bought these for our kids at day camp. Although these backpacks are a bit large for 5 and 7 year olds they are extremely functional and have many options/pockets etc. A great example of this is the wet laundry bag which gives kids an organized place to store wet clothes and towels. and suits to keep everything else from getting wet. If I were to use it on a weekend trip or camping trip I would be very happy with it for its compactness and light weight. The logo is really ugly, so we patched it. Zippers and material are durable.
