I bought a pack of blue and a pack of black. They were to be used for craft displays under my shed after dark. They helped keep the area lit but it took all 8 plus one more light for a 10x10 area. We were also without power for 3 days due to the hurricane and they worked fine so we weren't completely in the dark. The main problem is that batteries corrode easily and eat up the entire battery container. I only used the supplied batteries once because they leaked and then I bought brand name rabbit batteries and they even 'melted' in that situation! I like the idea but the battery compartment just doesn't work! Out of 8 lamps I only have 2 that can be used! They have stood about 3-4 months with good batteries and 4 are unusable. The first 2 expired after the batteries had been in them for about 2 months! When you buy, don't leave batteries inside like you would in a flashlight or you'll have a nasty mess of melted batteries!
