I work stone as a hobby and having various diamond hole saws is very helpful to me. These are well made diamond coated hole saws in sizes from 6mm to 50mm. Hole saw drill bits are individually labeled and in plastic tubing except for 10 small 6mm saws that come together. (Figures 1 and 2). 19 sizes available: 6mm/0.23inch(10pcs), 8mm/0.31inch, 10mm/0.39inch, 12mm/0.47inch, 14mm/0.55inch, 16mm /0.62 inch, 18mm / 0.71 inch. , 20mm/0.79", 22mm/0.87", 25mm/0.98", 28mm/1.1", 30mm/1.18", 32mm/1 ,26", 35mm/1.38" 38mm/1.5" 40mm/1.57" 42mm/1.65" 45mm/1.77" 50mm/1.97" The set contains a multiple ( 10) the smallest size 6 mm. I liked that and also the fact that the large drill holder has triangular ground shafts to prevent them from turning in the drill chuck. They also come with a center drill that can be removed with the included hex key. This drill has a tungsten carbide (TC) tip that allows it to break through glass. (Figures 3-5). The diamond coating seems to be of higher quality and a bit thicker than the cheaper bits I've used. All diamond grit drills MUST be used with water to lubricate and cool the drill. This is necessary to eliminate grinding and reduce tool wear. I find that using a non-hardening plumbing putty to create a dam around the cut/sanded surface works well when you can't direct a steady stream of water into the cut or underwater cut in a shallow container. ALSO, you NEED to know that this slowly "grinds" the glass or stone, not "cuts" through wood or metal like a jagged burr or saw. With this tool, diamond grit is applied outwards in a thin layer; much more expensive versions use a thicker layer of sintered diamond. Excessive pressure will strip the diamond from the coating and damage or render your diamond bit unusable - slow and intermittent light pressure allows water to contact the surface and carry away crushed debris. Because these bits are cylindrical in shape, using a drill is not essential, but can help locate the hole accurately. Remember to protect your hands and eyes as broken glass and rocks can seriously injure you, and work slowly for best results. These bits are very well suited for moderate home use with a possibly short service life. The edges, unlike a sintered crown, wear out quickly, so they are useful and valuable for infrequent use. If I was doing a large job that required multiple holes on a granite countertop, I would go with the more expensive sintered nozzle. Keep in mind that if you try to use them dry they will spoil quickly! I highly recommend this RVIQI Brand 28 Diamond Drill Bits Set Hole Saw Set (6-50mm) with Removable Center Drill Bits for Ceramic Tile Glass Marble. Great set of bits with the standard limits that this product has. I hope you found the information and my review helpful.
