Seagate made a decision that completely negates the point of this drive. Yes, it's great in every other way: ultra-lightweight, LOVE the soft gray canvas, has an SSD instead of a mechanical drive, bundled software, etc. etc. But JACK: Why didn't you use USB-C? JACK on drive to work with USB-C cable? Have you opted for the outdated Micro USB 3 connector instead? I thought they were gone forever! When we travel in an emergency, when we need a cable, it is not easy to find it. Everything goes over USB-C and for one REASON: SPEED. Using the USB-C connector we could achieve incredible copy speeds of 500MB/s or more. Instead they used the legacy USB 3, which means even when using the USB-C port on our laptops we're getting slower USB 3 speeds, POSSIBLY 120MB/s. Why? For those who choose it, it offers the perfect opportunity for USB-C speeds in an ultra-light drive that's really nicely packaged. I could use it to store an orchestra library and stream data at SSD speeds, but you've smothered it with that micro USB 3 connector. Please drop this design and release version 2, all USB-C, and you have a 5 star storage device.
