Review on πŸ“» TECSUN DR-920C: Versatile Black Digital World Band Radio for FM/MW/SW Reception by Marcelo Montalvo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good all round radio

I have a DR-920-C and an old Eton M300 and VITE VT-111. In my experience, the Tecsun's VHF reception is less sensitive than that of the VT-111. He did not detect 2 separate transmitters, neither from the on-board nor from the external antenna, which the VT-111 displayed clearly and reliably. For me, however, Tecsun VITE is far superior in both AM and shortwave. I'm not an expert, but I use these radios in upstate Maine, deep in the mountains, and I have the opportunity to try different antenna placement and orientation and just hold the radios in my hands with their telescoping antennas. Eton isn't really in the same league as the other two but it comes in handy when I'm closer to home stations. I like the VITE's search capabilities, but it lacks the tune button that I love about the Tecsun. They're small, so I'll take all three. No real complaints about either, and the DR-920C is something of a favorite for now. So, almost 4 years after I bought this radio, I give it a lot of praise. It's bulletproof, with a long wire antenna and grounding, and it attracts stations from incredible distances from the coast of Maine, Greece, Turkey, Romania, and of course China. FM and Am were also very good.
