The breakdown lasted 9 months before. The cables were fine and everything looked fine, but the Inspiron laptop reported that it couldn't identify the adapter or determine the wattage and also wouldn't charge the battery and the laptop reduced power consumption from it. (I understand the design; the laptop reduces power consumption from an unidentified power supply to avoid overheating and fire 🔥.) The adapter still worked. The laptop still booted and ran slow 🐢 (Laptop runs slower with CPU resulting in reduced performance when consuming power). I suspect that the adapter I received might be fake. Claims to be a genuine DELL OEM and the markings on the adapter appear legitimate. The exchange is done using a third-party adapter that has been highly rated by Revain. Hope the replacement lasts longer than this one.
