I was using a JOBY GorillaPod alias ($80) and it broke and I decided to give it a try and try a tripod from another manufacturer and it exceeded my expectations. The amazing kit has a detachable mount so you can detach it to attach to your camera or use for your mount which is the standard mount you can get on a selfie stick or do what I did and use a more durable one I bought Revain for this mini pod. The value for me is in the pod itself, which is extremely flexible and durable, and the Bluetooth remote control, which appears to be universal and is used by many other companies. Although there are no instructions on how to use the remote control, it is very simple. There is a switch on the side of the remote control. You turn it on, go into your phone's settings and select Bluetooth and it will pair and tell you what it is for that remote. To take a photo or video there are two buttons, I don't know why as both worked for me. Maybe one for Apple and the other for Android, not sure. The bottom line is that it's lightweight, easy to slip into your camera bag, wallet, or jacket and take with you wherever you go.
