Review on Wahoo TICKR Monitor Memory Bluetooth by Kristy Campos

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Different from the original TickrX

Structure and software differ from the original. I had the original (white and faded) for about 5 years before it started having connectivity and battery issues. The original doesn't connect to the Wahoo app, it connects to third parties. Also, one of the old Wahoo apps (which showed real-time calorie consumption) no longer exists. This latest version does the same thing but weighs a little more and has a different strap shape. Online training synchronization takes up to 24 hours. Annoying, but it's still the most versatile and does everything I want at a good price. The strap of the original model does not fit this new model, so don't lose the supplied strap. It costs $25 for a branded replacement. It actually does some of the other fancy things you get from a GPS watch (altitude, cadence, speed, maps, smooth steps, and saves offline workouts). Live streaming requires both Bluetooth and GPS, even when set up for indoor practice. If you don't want to pay for a watch and don't mind carrying your phone, it's worth it.

Pros
  • Heart rate monitor
Cons
  • Little things
